Header
I am a passionate researcher and project leader of the Advanced Biophotonics Research Group at BORL, UZH/USZ, a multidisciplinary team developing advanced biophotonic sensing and optical imaging technologies, including in vivo tissue imaging, AI-enhanced image reconstruction, and optical tomography systems for medical applications.
My work combines optical and biophotonic engineering, quantum optics, computational imaging, data science, and advanced signal processing to advance non-invasive diagnostics. In addition, I manage research programs and laboratory operations, supervise postdoctoral researchers, PhD students, and undergraduate students, and am actively involved in scientific publishing and grant development.
I received my degree and PhD in Biochemical Physics from Saratov State University, Russia, where I specialized in optical coherence imaging techniques. Since joining the University of Zurich in 2014, I have focused on advancing near-infrared optical tomography technologies and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration at the intersection of optics, medicine, and data science.
